In Tenerife, apartment rentals close to Playa del Duque beach command stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach with fine grey sand and calm water is 700 metres long by an average of 25 metres wide. The beach is popular with holiday makers and possesses excellent facilities including, surveillance and security (Local Police and Red Cross post), showers, changing-rooms, toilets and rental services for sunshades and deck-chairs.

The Romans said that Tenerife was one of the Fortunate Islands when they stumbled upon these hidden treasures off the west coast of Africa more than 2000 years ago. Fortunate indeed – blessed with a near perfect sunny climate and magnificent landscapes which makes Tenerife a magnet for millions of holiday makers each year.

The sub-tropical climate of Tenerife is lessened by the cooling Trade Winds and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. The result is a place where average temperatures range between 18C and 24C and the sea is a joy to swim in at any time of the year.

The climate makes the island a popular destination with golfers; many golfers choose Tenerife apartment rentals in Playa del Duque because of the proximity to both Golf Costa Adeje and Golf Las Americas.

Golf Costa Adeje

Well sign posted if you have rented a car, but only a short taxi drive from your apartment rental. Golf Costa Adeje is a par 72 course, designed by Jose Gancedo back in 1998.
The par-72 Costa Adeje Golf played host to the PGA Spanish Open of 2003, but don’t let this deter you, the 6,244 metre-long championship course is player-friendly, meaning the fairways are wide and well manicured.

Golf Las Americas

Opened in the same year, March, Golf Las Americas hosted the European LPGA Tour’s Tenerife Ladies Open in 2003. It’s a 6,039 metres long, par-72 course and was designed by John Jacobs Golf Associates Ltd.
